This is the first tractor in Lawrence County

This is the first tractor in Lawrence County and it belonged to James Henry Stribling. This photo was taken in front of Gunselman Wagon and Carriage Builders Building. Mr. Stribling had purchased four wagons to be pulled by this tractor to haul timber on for the making of cross-ties for L&N railroad. The tractor type is a Russell. Date unknown.
